Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman is serving as Head of Department in the Department of Computer Science at National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences, Peshawar for the last five years. He obtained his BS (Computer Science) degree from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Abbottabad in the year 2006. He later moved to Italy, to pursue his higher education under the UESTP faculty development program of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. He completed his MS in Computer Communication and Networks Engineering in the year 2010 from Politecnico di Torino University, Italy. After completing his MS, he secured his Ph.D. admission at the same university where he was mentored by Professor Alfredo Benso. He completed his Ph.D. in Computer and Control Engineering in the year 2014. Dr. Hafeez has significant research contributions. He actively works in the fields of Bioinformatics and Medical Image Analysis. He has published a number of articles at many prestigious international research platforms. He is the author of more than 20 papers; all published in well-reputed journals and conferences. He has over 250 citations with a cumulative Impact Factor of 34. Dr. Hafeez has already supervised a number of MS students. He is currently supervising 5 Ph.D. students. He has also served as the GSC (Graduate Studies Committee) coordinator of the Ph.D. program for a period of 2.5 years.
