Pashtun Cultural Museum
A magnificent representation of the culture heritage and diversity of Pashtoons is depicted through the Cultural Museum and Art Gallery, established in December 2012 through an HEC funded project amounting to 23 Million. The project was initiated in 2006 when the then governor Ali Mohammad Jan Orakzai laid its foundation stone in October of the same year.
The credit of the establishment of the Pashtoon Cultural Museum goes to the Ex.Director Pashto Academy Prof. Dr. Salma Shaheen. Now this Museum presents the whole region of the Pashtoons including local household, items, dresses, handicrafts, musical instruments, weapons, which throw light on the colourful diversity of the life styles of the various Pashtoons tribes. Now, we wish to have a systematic process for the bright future of the museum so that items/Antiques may either be purchased or donated by the people around KhyberPakhtunKhwa.
Following is a 6-part documentary on various functions and purpose of the establishment of the museum.
